I had to deal with fraud today. My debit card had a charge I didn’t recognize, and I didn’t feel like I should have to pay it. If any of you have ever dealt with a situation like this, you know it’s a real pain. So, I called the bank to get it figured out. Since they had restricted my card, I figured I would provide the necessary details, and they’d just turn it back on.

Well, once I spoke to the wonderful representative, I learned something a bit depressing—it wasn’t going to be as simple as I thought. I had to get a whole new card. If you’ve gone through this, you know how frustrating it can be. Sandy was very kind and really understood my situation. I managed to stay calm, and she did a great job explaining the steps and keeping me informed about what needed to be done. She told me it would take 7-10 business days to receive the new card, meaning it could take up to two weeks.

Update:

I must say, Sandy is the best. I learned that my new card actually shipped the very next day. I’m looking forward to getting it sooner than expected. If you're in the market for a new bank, I highly recommend Old Glory Bank.
